Help us spread love to pets in our community and the older adults who love them!
The PSR Pet Love Program helps supply pet food, pet supplies, veterinary care, and more to pets of qualified older adults age 60 and above. Utilizing help from grants and fundraising, as well as local community support, seniors in the PSR service region can receive help providing necessities to their pets.
The PSR service region includes: Amelia, Buckingham, Charlotte, Cumberland, Lunenburg, Nottoway, and Prince Edward Counties. Donations are greatly appreciated.

Our Annual PSR Pet Walk Fundraiser is held each year to raise essential funds for the PSR Pet Love Program, which supports the beloved pets of homebound older adults. This fun-filled event brings the community together for a great cause, ensuring that both seniors and their furry companions receive the care they need.
Enjoy a fantastic day with music, local vendors, delicious food, exciting activities, and a group pet trail walk, all while making a meaningful impact. Your support helps provide pet food, supplies, and veterinary care, allowing seniors to keep their cherished pets by their side!
PSR holds pet food drives four times a year, but is always accepting donations to support the PSR Pet Love Program. Whether through drop-offs or online purchase deliveries, your generosity helps provide essential pet supplies to low-income, homebound older adults receiving PSR Home-Delivered Meal services.
We accept new, unopened, and unexpired pet food, litter, and monetary donations. Preferably, pet food is Purina brand in 13-20 lb. bags, as brand consistency helps maintain a stable diet for the pets. Every contribution makes a difference!

As part of our annual Santa for Seniors event, PSR also hosts Santa for Pets, bringing holiday joy to the beloved pets of homebound older adults in our PSR Pet Love Program. We deliver special gift bags filled with pet toys and treats, ensuring that both seniors and their furry companions feel the warmth of the season.
